Atık yönetim planları kapsamında, atık hiyerarşisi benimsenerek, yasaklanacak ürünlerin yerine hem eşdeğer maliyette hem de yerel piyasadan temin edilebilmesi mümkün alternatif ürünlerin net olarak belirtileceği şekilde taslak tüzüğün yeniden düzenlenmesi gerektiği kaydedilen açıklamada, “Bunu yaparken de tüzüğün uygulanabilirliğini mümkün kılmak adına ilgili paydaşlar ile iş birliği ve istişare içerisinde çalışmak ise kaçınılmaz ve gereklidir” denildi.
KKTC özelinde su depolarının hammaddelerinin de regüle edilmesi gerektiği ifade edilen açıklamada, “Evlerimize, iş yerlerimize içme ve kullanım suyu olarak ulaşan su, depolandıktan sonra çeşmelerimizden akmaktadır. Tüketim için kullandığımız, sebzelerimizi meyvelerimizi yıkadığımız, dişlerimizi fırçaladığımız bu sular su depolarında saklanmaktadır. Piyasada birçok üreticisi bulunan bu depolar, orijini belli olmayan kırma plastik kullanılarak üretilmektedir. Öğütülerek kullanılan bu malzeme sandalye, saksı olabileceği gibi su, elektrik ve pis su borusu da olabilmektedir. Bu durum ise insan sağlığına ciddi tehlike arz etmektedir” ifadelerine yer verildi.
