Başbakanlık himayelerinde, Kıbrıs TMT Mücahitler Derneği iş birliğinde Mesarya Bölgesi hak sahiplerine “Milli Mücadele Madalyaları” Güney Mesarya Sosyal Tesisleri’nde yer alan törenle takdim edildi.

 

Kıbrıs TMT Mücahitler Derneği Başkanı Yılmaz Bora, Gazi Mustafa Kemal’in gazilik beratını aldigi böylesi önemli bir gunde milli mücadele madalyalarının verilmesinin gururunu yaşadığını söyledi.

 

Bora, gelecek nesillere bu günlere nasıl gelindiğinin anlatılması gerektiğine vurgu yaptı.

 

 

Başbakan Ünal Üstel de törende yaptığı konuşmada, gecmiste Rumlar!ın Kıbrıs Türk halkına yasattığı zor gunleri hatirlatarak Rumlar’ın zihniyetinin değişmediğini ifade etti.

 

Üstel, “bugünlere gelirken bircok şehit verildi bu topraklar Mehmetçik ve Mücahit’in kanıyla sulandı” dedi.

 

Kıbrıs Türk halkının 1983 yılında kurulan Cumhuriyet’in bekçileri okduğuna işaret eden Üstel, 1950’lerde gösterilen dayanışmanın şimdi de gösterilmesi gerektiğini söyledi. BRT
